6 Months

Well this past Thursday Brayden turned 6 months old. I can't really believe it...6 months has already pasted. It is crazy how fast time goes. We went to the doctor and he weighs 16 lbs and 2 ounces (25 percentile), he is 27 1/2 inches long (78th percentile), and his head circumference is 17 1/4 (50 percentile). So basically he is long for his age but doesn't weigh much! He is a lot of fun right now. He is rolling over, sitting up, and grabbing for everything. This past month we headed up to Michigan to visit with family and friends. We have also started solid foods. He is eating rice cereal, fruits, and veggies. Last week we also started a swim class with Palmer at Pullen Aquatic Center. Brayden did not have fun the first day of his class but the second day he did much better. I am tracked out right now so it has been great spending all day with my son, having lunch dates, going on walks, etc. I start back next Monday April 21st...so back to work in a week! Check out our flickr site for more pictures of all that we have been up to.

Michigan

Well I just returned from a week in Michigan. I was looking forward to spending time with my family and friends but I always keep my expectations low. When I go up there it seems like I never get a chance to see EVERYONE that I want to spend time with. There just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day or they are busy as well. But this time was different. I really had a wonderful trip and it was filled with awesome people. I got to see all my girlfriends (Cheryl is the only one not pictured.. sorry Cheryl), family, and friends I use to babysit for. It was amazing. Of course there would always be a few more folks I would like to see...my brother, cousins, and a few more babysitting families... but overall it was a great trip. Check out our flickr site for lots more pictures! I enjoy showing everyone Brayden and wish they could see him more often.

I love to be gone but it has also been great being back home. It was wonderful seeing Daniel again and I have accomplished a lot of little things around the house since getting home on Monday. I only have a week and a half left of my track out before it is back to the routine of school.

Mystery Roses

So when I returned back from Michigan I saw these flowers and a note sitting on our counter. I called Daniel at work to ask what they were about. He said they were left at our front door on Saturday. I thought that is so sweet. I wondered who they were from. I am still not sure who they are from but I thank whoever left them. It was a real thoughtful thing to do and it brightened my return from Michigan. Thank you mystery person/people!

To add more to the mystery.. the Other Smith's got some too!
